🇯🇵 Why Everyone’s Going to Japan (and Why You Should Too!)

Thinking of Traveling to 🇯🇵 Japan? Read this first!

Lately, it seems like everyone we know has hopped on a plane to Japan, and we were starting to feel a little left out. We’re not exactly anime superfans or deep into Otaku culture, but we do have a borderline obsession with ramen and sushi—so we figured, why not?

And now that we’ve seen it for ourselves, we totally get the hype.

Japan is the perfect mix of tradition and futuristic madness, where ancient temples sit next to neon-lit arcades, and even the vending machines are more polite than we are.

✅ Safe to say, Japan absolutely deserves a top spot on your bucket list!

⛩️🌸👘 Unforgettable Japan Experiences

From discovering a 🍜 life-changing Uni Toro Bowl in Nara (with those cute deers)

(for the uninitiated, toro is the buttery, fatty belly of the Tuna - Basically the Wagyu of the sea)

To Road-tripping and spending every night soaking in onsens in the 🗻 Izu Peninsula with stunning views of Mount Fuji

Oh, and those ⛩️ Famous Fushimi Inari gates?

We found a 🚨 secret, lesser-known side where we could actually feel the mystical energy behind them—without elbowing our way through a million tourists.

And then there’s the
politeness. It’s next-level.

Picture this: We’re driving through the Izu Peninsula, and there’s some road construction. No big deal. But instead of just a traffic cone, there was an actual person whose entire job was to bow at every passing car to apologize for the inconvenience.

I mean, excuse me?! If they did that in Montreal (where we used to live), I’d start feeling like some medieval king rolling up to my castle gates.

But that’s exactly
what makes Japan so special.

The total culture shock.

The unexpected, tiny moments of magic.

The feeling of stepping into a world that’s just as mesmerizing as it is mind-blowingly different.

Plus, it's one of the Safest places we've ever travelled to.

It's Monday. You deserve to mentally escape to Sicily for a few minutes! So… we may have booked a trip to Sicily purely because we got hooked on White Lotus Season 2 (If you haven’t watched it, you really should!). And guess what? Taormina is even more gorgeous in real life than it is on screen — and that’s saying a lot. Yes, it’s touristy. Yes, it can be crowded. But also yes: it’s absolutely worth it. Sicily to us was this incredible blend of maybe some of the best Italian food we’ve had,...

Welcome back Travel and Photography-enthusiasts! You know the old saying, “the best camera is the one that you have with you”? Well, for most people, that just means whipping out their phone. But if you’re like me and you’ve got a proper camera—the kind with real buttons and removable lenses—you’ve probably faced the classic dilemma: Do I bring it and risk it rattling around in my big ol’ unprotected backpack? Or leave it behind and maybe cry later when I miss the perfect shot? I’ve done the...
