And guess what? Taormina is even more gorgeous in real life than it is on screen — and that’s saying a lot. Yes, it’s touristy. Yes, it can be crowded. But also yes: it’s absolutely worth it. Sicily to us was this incredible blend of maybe some of the best Italian food we’ve had, charming coastal towns, fiery volcanos, and a rich culture! We spent a few days exploring the cinematic mountaintop town of Taormina and fell in love with the seaside vibes, looming views of Mount Etna, and dangerously addictive arancinis.
